Krka is the 7th national park in Croatia and is a natural landmark of the highest category. The Krka River is among the most valuable natural entities in both Croatia and Europe.
Krka is well known for its many lakes and 7 waterfalls and has a total drop in altitude of 242m. It is a natural phenomenon with 20 fish species, of which 10 are endemic.
The most famous spots in the park, and arguably the most famous in all of Croatia, are Skradinski Buk Falls and Roški Slap Falls. These waterfalls tumble into a vast emerald pool, which you are welcome to swim in.
You can rent a boat and cruise through the park and there are trails and viewpoints all around the waterfalls.
A day can be easily spent wandering around the paths of the national park, soaking in the beautiful views and immersing yourself in pristine nature.
